South Pacific & Papua New Guinea art objects and artifacts | cane yam mask
This superb Abelam culture cane yam mask comes the Ronald Clyne Collection—a noted Brooklyn-based graphic artist and collector. Clyne’s collection—which I was fortunate enough to visit a couple times nearly 20 years ago—featured superb pieces tastefully arranged in a modern, minimalist interior. I think this yam mask perfectly fits his aesthetic. It is old, refined and full of grace. The piece is 13 ¼” (33.5 cm) in height, dates to the early/mid 20th century and sells for $2500. Questions?
