I was fortunate Papua New Guinea had wonderful topographic maps that indicated all the remote villages for the entire country. I would buy them in Port Moresby at the National Mapping Office, have them laminated and these were carried with me on my collecting trips. Here is my man Raymond Kuaru in blue shirt asking the advice of a couple local guys on where to head to next—my old friend Jerry Kudud stands behind looking on.
